Striving to Obey
Christ's command to Go
into all the world and
preach the Gospel, New
England Baptist Church
has set aside Tuesday
evenings and Saturday
mornings for this
purpose. We encourage
the experienced and the
non-experienced
soulwinner to come
participate in this
exciting endeavor.
Residential areas, rest
homes, train stations
and the great outdoors
provide wonderful
opportunities to meet
new people. Those who
participate never regret
their involvement.
In-Home Bible
Study
Many times those who are
new to Christianity or
who have recently joined
our church desire more
knowledge about God and
the Bible. New England
Baptist Church offers
Bible study courses
along with someone to
assist them in their new
faith. A weekly visit
gives the new believer
the chance to learn and
ask questions in the
comfort of their own
home.
Bus
Every Sunday morning,
New England Baptist
Church sends its buses
out to Medford, Malden,
Everett, Charlestown and
Somerville to provide
free transportation for
children and their
parents to come to
church. We offer a safe,
caring and fun filled
enviroment for the
children including Bible
stories, songs, games
and of course candy.
Support
Group
Every Friday night, New
England Baptist Church
offers a support group
to help people overcome
addictions of any kind.
Each person will receive
individualized counsel
in helping them overcome
their particular
addiction. Solutions are
given from God's Word
and are practical in
nature.
Senior
Citizens
We believe that Senior
Citizens are special
people in our church and
community. On a weekly
basis, we visit local
rest homes and minister
love and encouragement
as well as the Gospel
message. We host an
annual Thanksgiving
Dinner for all the
seniors of the community
on the Saturday before
Thanksgiving. Some have
shared with us that this
is their only
Thanksgiving
celebration. During the
Christmas season, our
church enjoys caroling
at various rest homes in
the area.
Men's Prayer
Group
Each monday morning
Pastor Michael holds a
prayer meeting at our
church for the men who
care to join him. The
needs of our church,
community and country
are faithfully brought
to God in prayer.
Ladies
Fellowship
New England Baptist
Church seeks to
encourage the ladies in
our church by providing
times of encouragement
and renewal. On a
monthly basis, the
ladies of our church
open up their homes for
an evening of spiritual
refreshment, prayer and
sharing. Those who
attend always receive a
blessing.
Singles
Singles of all ages and
backgrounds comprise
our church membership.
Opportunities to
socialize and encourage
one another are numerous
and varying. Share an
ice cream cone after the
service, enjoy a rousing
game night or go on a
sponsored singles
retreat. There is always
something to do and a
friend to join you.
Teens
Camp, youth rallys,
shopping trips, backyard
barbeques and many other
exciting activities
provide our teens with a
godly enviroment
conducive to building
friendships and making
memories. One of our
goals at New England
Baptist Church is to
equip our teens to serve
God in the future.
Believing the future
begins today, we
encourage our teens to
participate in various
church ministries using
the gifts and abilities
God has given them.
Teen Girls
Club
During the school year,
the teen girls gather on
Friday nights for an
evening of fun and
instruction. Cooking and
eating dinner, followed
by a devotional and a
game time gives the
girls the opportunity to
learn important life
skills as well as
interact with a godly
lady mentor.
Neighborhood Bible
Time
Neighborhood Bible Time
is the evangelistic
highlight of the year
for us at New England
Baptist Church. It is a
super vacation Bible
school with an emphasis
on evangelizing children
and teenagers. Our
highest enrollment of
485 children and teens
continues to motivate us
to reach more for
Christ. Kids love the
competition, games,
Bible stories, ribbons,
snacks and of course the
world famous Booster
Cheer. Each night the
teens compete in outdoor
games including
tube-tug, tackle
football, big ball
volleyball and wild
water contests. The
games are followed by a
challenging message from
the visiting Bible
college evangelists.
Last, but definitely not
least, great food such
as pizza is served
before the teens head
for home.
Missions
Knowing we cannot
personally reach
everyone in the world
with the Gospel, we
financially support
those who have left
their homes to spread
the Gospel in foreign
countries. We are happy
to be able to help the
